IPO Forecast
As of late September 2026, Mistral AI has not announced an IPO date, target valuation or listing venue. CEO Arthur Mensch has consistently framed a public listing as a long-term goal rather than a near-term plan: in January 2025 he told Bloomberg that the company is "not for sale" and that an IPO is "the plan," and two months later he clarified to Fortune that, since Mistral intends to remain independent, the natural path is to go public at some point, but that it is not preparing for an IPO now. In February 2026, he said the company's easy access to debt financing meant it would not need to list that year.
Mistral continues to finance its growth privately. In September 2026, it raised €3B in a Series D led by Samsung Electronics at a post-money valuation of more than €21B, to fund frontier research, expand its computing capacity and infrastructure, and accelerate its commercial and international growth.
