IPO Forecast
Prepared, then paused. In January 2026 Bitpanda prepared a Frankfurt listing for the first half of the year at a €4–5B ($4.7–5.8B) target, with Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and Deutsche Bank arranging; it had ruled out London in August 2025 over liquidity. By September 2026 the process was paused. The departing CEO said the company is ready but needs to consider the right market timing, and no revised timetable has been announced.
Three things now shape any revival:
- A new chief executive. Enzersdorfer-Konrad leaves in Q1 2027, so a revived IPO will likely be led by someone other than the executive who prepared it.
- Thinner earnings. ~$15M (€13M) of adjusted EBITDA on ~$419M (€371M) of revenue is a weaker equity story than the ~$56M (€52M) the year before.
- The comparable set. eToro listed on Nasdaq in May 2025 at a $4.3B valuation. Bitpanda's $4.7–5.8B (€4–5B) target sat at or above that mark with substantially lower profitability.
