Round

On 13 July, Helsing raised US$1.8bn in a Series E at an $18bn valuation — the largest-ever funding round for a European defense-tech startup, up from a reported ~€12bn a year earlier. The company said investor demand "significantly exceeded" the available allocation and it remains predominantly European-owned; participants included Dragoneer, Lightspeed, Disruptive, ICONIQ, Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, JPMorganChase, CPP Investments, General Catalyst, Plural and StepStone, with the board unchanged under co-chairmen Daniel Ek and Tom Enders.

Staff

On 15 July, Helsing appointed Andriy Shevchenko as Managing Director for Ukraine, deepening its footprint in a market where it has operated since 2022 supplying frontline capabilities.

Other

On 14 July, Helsing announced its expansion into the US market, selecting West Virginia for its first US "Resilience Factory" — a notable step for a company that has built its identity on European sovereignty.
