Groq spoke to investors about raising between $300M and $500M at a $6B post-investment valuation to support a recent deal with Saudi Arabia. Groq told investors that the contracts in Saudi Arabia will help the company to drive about $500M in revenue in 2025—more than 5x YoY increase ($90M in 2024). If completed, the deal would double the startup’s post-investment valuation of $2.8 billion from an equity financing a year ago.


As of 07/2025, Groq Inc. is set to raise about $600 million in a new funding round that gives the company a roughly $6 billion valuation. The latest round is being led by the venture capital firm Disruptive, which committed more than $300 million to the deal.

Groq expects the cloud service will begin making an operating profit in 2026, bringing in almost $200M of revenue compared to more than $170M of expenses, according to the documents.

In 07/2025, Groq told investors annual revenue would increase more than $1.9B in 2027, mostly from direct sales of its hardware to other companies.

According to financial documents, nearly $470M of revenue in 2025  is expected to come from large partnerships, including those in Saudi Arabia.

Groq reported that it expected an additional $320M in combined revenue over 2026 and 2027 from large partnerships, including those with Saudi Arabia.


As of 07/2025, Groq runs the cloud business at a loss. The company projects that business will make more than $40M of revenue in 2025, compared to a bit over $64M of expenses, according to the documents shared with investors.


Groq had slashed more than $1 billion from its revenue projections for 2025 but it expected the revenue that was trimmed from its projections this year to be realized in 2026.


Product


Groq launched its first European data center in Helsinki, Finland as part of the company's international expansion and goal to meet the rising demand for AI services across Europe. Groq's new Helsinki location was developed in partnership with Equinix, a major global data center provider.

Finland was chosen due to factors that make it ideal for large-scale data centers, including reliable energy infrastructure, abundance of renewable energy and a cool climate.
